April Schuypreneur Boot Camp: Build a Business Plan That Helps You Make Better Decisions

Before you apply for financing, meet with a bank, or pursue grants, you need a business plan — but not just for funding.
A business plan is how you think through what you’re building, who your customers are, what it will cost, and whether your idea makes sense. It helps you make decisions before you invest time and money, and it gives you a clearer way to explain your business to others.
At the April Schuypreneur Boot Camp, we’ll focus on building and refining business plans as practical tools — not just documents.
Why a Business Plan Matters
A strong business plan helps you:
Clarify your idea and what you’re actually offering
Understand startup and ongoing costs
Test whether your business is realistic in your market
Make better decisions before committing resources
Communicate your business clearly to partners, lenders, or investors
Even if you are not planning to seek funding right away, working through a business plan can help you avoid common mistakes and refine your approach.
What to Expect
This session is designed for:
Individuals starting a business
Business owners preparing to seek financing or grants
Entrepreneurs who have a business plan and want feedback
Speakers will walk through what a business plan should include, what funders look for, and how to structure your plan in a way that is clear and useful.
As with all Boot Camp sessions, this will be a working session. Participants are encouraged to bring ideas, questions, or existing plans.
