March 2026 Boot Camp: Resources to Help You Hire and Keep Employees

For many small businesses, one of the biggest challenges right now is finding and keeping reliable employees. Between seasonal fluctuations, training needs, and a competitive labor market, hiring can feel like a constant uphill battle.
The March Schuypreneur Boot Camp will focus on practical workforce resources that are available locally to help businesses recruit, train, and retain employees.
Representatives from Chemung Schuyler Steuben Workforce NY will join us to explain how their programs support both job seekers and businesses. While many employers are familiar with the challenges of hiring, fewer realize that there are workforce programs designed specifically to help businesses build and strengthen their teams.
During the session, participants will learn about:
Recruitment support, including job postings and regional job fairs
On-the-job training programs that may help offset the cost of training new employees
Customized training opportunities to help current employees develop new skills
Workforce programs that connect businesses with younger workers entering the labor market
Labor market information that can help businesses better understand hiring trends in the region
This Boot Camp session is designed to be practical and conversational. Small business owners are encouraged to bring questions or share challenges they are experiencing with hiring and employee retention.
Schuypreneur Boot Camp sessions are free and open to entrepreneurs, startups, and small business owners throughout the region. The goal of the series is to provide useful information, practical tools, and opportunities for local businesses to connect with resources that can help them grow.
